Scott Adams, the author of Dilbert, points out numerous flaws about working in the corporate world.
Working in a cube is the butt of many jokes, but I am here to point out some of the benefits of working in a cube in an office.
1. Air conditioning. It is supposed to be 90°+ outside today. I am working inside with air conditioning keeping it a comfortable 72°.
2. Window seats. If you are lucky enough, you get a window seat in an air conditioned building.
3. Heating. During the winter time when it is cold outside, you have a nice heated place to work.
4. Clean restrooms. When you gotta go, you gotta go and it is nice to be able to go in a clean bathroom.
5. Relatively easy access to your co-workers. They are only an email, phone call, IM or yell away.
6. You have a job. 'nuff said.
Make someone's day and perform a random act of kindness. It should make their day.
