What are you waiting for?

There is a saying in the military that goes something like "hurry up and wait."

There are a couple of ways to wait.  One is to wait for something to happen and do nothing in the mean time.  The other is to wait in anticipation and expectation and prepare for whatever it is you are waiting.

An expecting to-be-mother and father generally do not wait until the baby arrives to start getting everything ready for the new arrival.  They start preparing the room, buying or gathering the necessary equipment and items for the baby and friends throw a shower to give the baby the things needed or wanted.

Most of the time, when we are waiting on things we just kind of wait.  We don't do much other than wait for the whatever to arrive.

Imagine how much we could get accomplished if we waited with expectancy on everything.  Instead of hoping that something will arrive, change the thought process to expecting it to arrive and prepare for it in that manner.

Make someone's day and perform a random act of kindness.  It might be something they are not expecting.
